Snoring can do a lot more harm than just annoy your partner. Snoring can also cause extensive tissue damage in the nerves and muscles of the airway due to continued vibrations. This damage can cause a common sleep disorder know as Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA).
If your snoring is accompanied by any of the following symptoms you should be tested for sleep apnea:
- Daytime fatigue
- Sore throat upon awakening
- High blood pressure
- Restless sleep
- Waking up gasping for air
- Snoring so loud that it disrupts your partners sleep
